Can it be done? I just had this debate on Micwar about this topic and it got pretty good. I of course had to retreat because I am not deep enough in theology to go any further. But I would love to hear your opinions.
So, can one achieve spiritual perfection, never to sin in their lifetime? I think it just cannot be done because we are in this flesh that desires to sin and will sin. So, is it possible or the opposite?

I used to think so, but i'm not sure anymore. i used to think so because of Scriptures like the one in Jude that said we will never fall, and a couple others in the NT that say the same. and the command of Jesus to be perfect.
now, i'm not so sure, because there's just so much sin. since the Bible talks about anything not done in faith is sin, if a man knows the good he ought to do and doesnt do it, this is sin, and when David used to pray to the Lord to forgive his unknown sins.
the Bible condemns sin and those who PRACTICE it, so no person who's been a Christian for a good amount of time should still be practicing sin or be knowlingly sinning.
one thing we can be sure of, is to strive for perfection regardless, as Jesus commanded. God bless
