Verse 1:
A lot of yall wouldnt believe me if I said I got arrested/
I never came up to the plate to really shout and confess/
But I was pt on trial for murder, yep for trial of Man Two/
So pull up a chair and listen as this testimony hits you/
I sat at the defendent's tabe, sat shocked and in awe/
Because the day I got caught was I day I never saw/
But it happened to me, I looked at the faces of the jury/
Stood in silence as they said "We find the defendent guilty"/
I jumped ahead of myself, I guess you dont kno my situation/
My deadly crime that made me feel lower than a subway station/
Im a young teenager that managed to kill a grown man/
Killed him brutely, and so awful, but never lifted a hand/
I watched as he died of course I felt a load of remorse/
I didnt believe what I had done screamed to my voice was hoarse/
I was terrified, I had to figure what my next move would be/
Ran home, turned on the news, and saw a picture of me/
Chorus: 2x
I was stuck and then I found myself in a mess/
I felt locked in bondage closed and compressed/
Cause I had killed him, I stood and watched as he died/
Saw what I did, fell to my knees/ then my eyes cried/
Verse 2:
Five O had me trapped, they had my house surrounded/
Got locked up then locked down like a dog pound and/
I sat in that facility, sittin quietly and lookin, staring/
Felt packed in with no space to breathe like herring/
Bail was sat at two hundred thousand, i sat overnight/
My trial was the next morning, invision close in my sight/
"Could the defendent please come to the stand and share"/
So I got up, walked ova, sat down, " I do solemly swear/
to tell the whole truth, nothin but the truth, so help me God/
Answered so many questions felt like whips from a rod/
I didnt know what I was doin, I thought I was in control/
The prosecuter glared at me and said my heart was cold/
The man was dead, I killed him, it just wasent believable/
The thought of me bein a murderer was inconcievable/
I had gave my testimony, going to jail I was like SO!!/
Thought it was life in jail, but I was sent to DEATH ROW/
Chorus 2X
Verse 3:
So I was sent off, I went to recieve my lethal injection/
It was sin that killed him, it was my dirty imperfection/
Then somethin weird happened, you wouldnt believe/
The judge stepped down to take the deadly shot for me/
For the first time I saw his face, surprised I squealed/
Cause the judge was the man that I had brutely killed/
He looked at me with lovin eyes and then he replied/
" I love you and will die for you, so come to my side/
So we both took up our crosses and gave up our lives/
He gave his life up for His children, husbands and wives/
I gave up my life too but not in a reallly literal sense/
I died to myself to live for Him in the present tense/
I dedicated my life it was the best decision I ever made/
Cause He took my sin debt and with His life it was paid/
Like me you should all die, and take up ya daily cross/
Cause its a big pay, but if ya dont its an even bigger cost/
Chorus 4x
Well there ya go
